Whoever Is Simple

We are simple, but how do we make the right choice?

FAITHbook or facebook?

When you get up in the morning, which do you read first?

Let me be the first to say that I have been guilty of this myself. As a believer in the L-RD, we sometimes get lax in our faith. It is very easy to get caught up in the daily buzz of social media to find out what is happening it people’s lives or to see what they are sharing.

Consider this. The L-RD has made numerous “posts” for us to read. They are written with us in mind. In these “posts” we find out more about ourselves and what we lack. They bring clarity in our lives where there are so many things that cloud our vision with the constant distraction of ‘new’ and ‘updated’ along with empty news and reports of peril and calamity.

Our L-RD has “posted” writings that give us hope, encouragement, understanding, knowledge, wisdom, correction for our wayward lives, truth and the promise of salvation if we choose to believe in Him and follow Him.

The question really becomes, what is more important in our lives? Seeking knowledge and wisdom from the One who Loves us unconditionally or from a world that is self seeking?

Start the day right by putting G-d first and spending time with Him. It changes our perspective of the day and what happens in it. It also changes the outcome of many circumstances because we first sought out counsel from G-d.

Let us not forget that Jesus came and first lived among us and shared in our trials of this world. He showed us how to live a righteous life and continued to point to G-d. He then went to the cross willingly to pay the debt we could never pay. G-d loves us so much, that He came personally as His Son, to live as an example, then to pay our debt so that we could be with Him forever if we believe. THAT is dedication and that is the level of His love for us. We can’t go wrong following the One who loves us that much.

Let us live with such conviction in our lives that people see the Love and Dedication of our L-RD through our walk. That is what Jesus died for. He paid our debt and gave us inheritance with His blood. It cost Him His Life. Through His Resurrection we have the power to overcome sin and temptation.

Walk in His Love and Dedication. Walk in His Freedom. He loves you.

Protecting Yourself Against What You Receive Through Your Eyes

If you are claiming to be a Christian, a follower of Jesus, a believer in G-d, and you are involved in inappropriate things, you have not received Him completely. You are still holding onto sin. You must let it go and let G-d take control. This is through prayer and reading His Word and having accountability partners. These partners need to be someone that loves you, someone that you can trust, to keep you accountable, but not talk about these issues with anyone else.

If you do not know Jesus, if you do not have a relationship with Him, He is waiting for you. He has been your whole life. Come just as you are. There is nothing that you can do to “clean up.” In Isaiah 64:6 it states that our righteousness is as filthy rags. Our best is a bloody mess in the literal translation. There is nothing that we can do on our own.

However, Jesus paid the price to redeem us. In the Gospel (i.e., Good News) of John chapter 19, verse 30 (i.e., John 19:30), while He was on the cross, He said

“It is finished!”

The price has been paid in full. All we have to do is receive this free gift. Come to Him and be free.

In John 1:12-13, he stated

“But as many as received Him (i.e., Jesus the Messiah), to them He gave the right to become children of G-d, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of G-d.”

You see, G-d’s will is to know you personally. Come and be free. Come just as you are and He will show you the path the walk. He will shed the light in this dark world. Come and receive Him today.
