Self-Examination Challenge

No need to reply to these questions.

Do we really honor G-d in ALL that we do?
Is our life a reflection of what G-d has done with our heart?
Have we really given EVERYTHING over to G-d?
Is our life one that can be recognized as one that is with pure conviction with 100% obedience to G-d and loving every moment of it?
Are we TRULY seeking G-d in every part of our life?
How much time are we studying His Word to understand Him?
How much time are we spending in talking with Him and LISTENING?

I know that I need to work in all of these areas. To G-d be the Glory in the changes He has already done. I look forward to the changes that are to come.

Politics and Freedom of Speech

“We have forgotten G-d”Abraham Lincoln

Our Constitution is based on the principles of the Bible and G-d and they are intertwined into the document. Our founding fathers believed in G-d and the Bible and they were not ashamed to mention it in their politics. They believed in the freedom of choice, as G-d does.

The first Amendment is the freedom of speech and freedom of the press. It is our Constitutional right to speak our mind, regardless of what it is. Whether you are Atheist, Feminist, Muslim, Catholic, Buddhist, Mormon, Gay, Straight, Jewish, Christian, or any other belief that you have, you have the right to speak your mind openly. That is what makes our country great. It is what the men and women of this country have fought and died for. Don’t let that go in vain. Let Freedom ring.

Any opposition to this amendment is the same mentality as Nero, Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, governments that approve of genocide, enforce the burning of all literature, education for only the elect few, banning of the internet, and the list goes on.

If we hold to these oppositions and continue down this path, we will see history repeat itself in the same negative way. These histories are all blemishes of mankind and represent how wickedly horrible we can be.

The world in general is shouting out tolerance, but when someone brings up the Bible, G-d, and/or Jesus, tolerance is thrown out the window. The reaction is “shut them up and shut them down”. “Get that out of our courts, our politics, our work, our lives. He doesn’t belong here.” This is the attitude in a lot of cases.

Why is this? Granted, in a lot of cases, G-d, Jesus and the Bible have all been misrepresented as something of hate. However, if you read the Bible, you will find that it is filled with love all through it. It is a love story of G-d and His people and how He has continued to pursue them, protect them, bless them, and yes discipline them, as a parent disciplines their child. Does that sound like hate?

Bottom line, G-d allows freedom of choice because He loves you. You can make the choice to follow him, or you can make the choice not to. You can make the choice to believe in Him, or you can make the choice not to. It is entirely up to you.

Speak freely of what you believe, speak it in love and don’t get upset when someone disagrees, regardless of what side of the conversation you are on.

Tolerance is an interesting word. It is thrown around without much thought. The root word is tolerate. The definition of tolerate is this: To allow the existence, presence, practice, or act of without prohibition or hinderance; to permit.

Tolerance and Agreement are two different things.

I believe in G-d, every bit of His Word (i.e., the Bible), and I also believe that Jesus is the Messiah. I believe that He loves you and that He wants to have a personal relationship with you, just as a parent wants to have a personal relationship with their child. If you disagree with me, I accept that. If you don’t believe in Him, I accept that.

The only question I have for you is this: Have you truly looked into the possibility that the Bible is true in its entirety? To do that, you would have to read it for yourself and make that judgement, and not rest on the opinion or statement of another individual or organization. It is your personal journey while you are here on earth. Their statements and opinions are from their journey, their decision, not yours. The point is this, if I tell you that the direction you are traveling in your car leads to a 3,000 foot cliff because the bridge is out and I just came from that direction barely escaping, are you going to look into it, or are you going to blindly keep driving full speed because the person sitting next to you says, “Don’t believe him, he is a nut.”?

Live in a clear conscience that you have at least looked into the possibility that it is true. If you can say that you have read it entirely and still not believe, then you have made your choice and I respect that. However, because I believe it to be true and because I truly do care for you, don’t get upset when I tell you that He loves you and He wants a better life for you. I am speaking to you in love, His love which is the purest love there is. If you tell me that you don’t want to hear that any more, I am going to respect that and not tell that to you any more. But, don’t get upset if I throw out a “Praise the L-RD, Hallelujah, or Glory Be To G-d” because that is who I am and what I believe. Also, if you ask me a question and you don’t like my answer, remember that you asked the question and it would be rude not to answer it.

I may not agree with what you believe, I may not agree with your lifestyle. That doesn’t stop me from caring for you. I am not going to get upset when you tell me your beliefs or your lifestyle. Just remember this: If you allow yourself to get angered by someone believing something different than what you do, you have to question the root of the anger. Was what they said directed at you personally? Are they forcing something down your throat? Or are they perhaps just simply stating what they believe to be true? Are they coming at you with a pointing finger or are they coming at you with a gentle loving hand?

Also, please remember: We are all human and make mistakes. So if I make one, please forgive me and anyone else that makes one.

G-d loves you dearly and wants to be a part of your life. Your choice, your decision.
